Why does God want us to put Him First?
1. The First always belongs to God
2. The first is holy, consecrated, sanctified, dedicated and separated for the use of God.
Romans 11:16 For if the first fruit is holy, the lump is also holy, so are the branches.
3. To touch the first brings a curse

Genesis 4:4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering. But he did respect Cain and his offering.
What Happens When I Give My First Fruit?
1. The first fruit offering will bless the rest of your total income

2. The First Fruit has redemptive power
Matthew 6:19-20 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; buy lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
3. God will release His favor
Exodus 12:36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested.
4. The Priestly Blessing
Ezekiel 44:30 The best of all first fruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of and kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also, you shall give the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.
