John 16:12-15
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
Understanding the Holy Spirit
1. The Holy Spirit is a Person
John 14: 16, 17 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away; the helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
2. He is the Representative of the Godhead on Earth
3. The Sole administrator of the Godhead
4. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Only
John 3:5-7 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born again,
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
John 1:32 And John bore witness saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
Luke 4:17 and He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me
Ephesians 4:29-31 Do not let unwholesome foul, profane, worthless, vulgar words over come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear you speak. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God but seek to please Him, by whom you were sealed and marked (branded as God’s own) for the day of redemption
Ephesians 4:31 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
